At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2024, Sweden's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 14.1% compared to 2023, reaching 14.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.9%.

Sweden ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 18.0% (from 17.8% in 2019).
