Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2010, Germany's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 4.1% compared to 2009, reaching 18.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.3%.

Germany ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 72.5% (from 10.6% in 2005).
