Fertility indicators

In 1989, Belgium's fertility indicators increased by 0.6% compared to 1988, reaching 1.58.

Belgium ranks 14th out of 22 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.6% (from 1.54 in 1984).
