Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2023, Cyprus's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 23.4% compared to 2022, reaching 20.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 45.4%.

Cyprus ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 123.8% (from 9.4% in 2018).
