Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Cyprus's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 15.0% compared to 2023, reaching 24.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 47.5%.

Cyprus ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 146.9% (from 9.8% in 2019).
