Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2010, France's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 1.8% compared to 2009, reaching 14.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.3%.

France ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.8% (from 13.7% in 2005).
