Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Italy's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 1.1% compared to 2023, reaching 19.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 25.2%.

Italy ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.6% (from 18.2% in 2019).
