Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2010, Greece's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 11.7% compared to 2009, reaching 12.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.3%.

Greece ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 49.8% (from 8.2% in 2005).
