Police-recorded offences by offence category

In 2018, Ireland's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 11.4% compared to 2017, reaching 16,621.

Ireland ranks 14th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 36.8% (from 26,291 in 2013).
