Police-recorded offences by offence category

In 2017, Ireland's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 3.8% compared to 2016, reaching 18,765.

Ireland ranks 14th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 34.0% (from 28,439 in 2012).
