Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2021, Italy's main indicators decreased by 5.5% compared to 2020, reaching 36.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 37.8%.

Italy ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.8% (from 34.0% in 2016).
