Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2022, Italy's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 3.1% compared to 2021, reaching 37.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 41.2%.

Italy ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.8% (from 34.1% in 2017).
