Persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex

In 2025, Latvia's persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex increased by 1.6% compared to 2024, reaching 24.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 20.9%.

Latvia ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.6% (from 25.1% in 2020).
