Persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex

In 2024, Latvia's persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex decreased by 5.1% compared to 2023, reaching 24.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.0%.

Latvia ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 9.0% (from 26.7% in 2019).
