Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Latvia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 546.5% compared to 2023, reaching 8.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 11.2%.

Latvia ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 92.8% (from 4.6% in 2019).
