Persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex

In 2025, Netherlands's persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex increased by 2.6% compared to 2024, reaching 15.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 20.9%.

Netherlands ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.2% (from 16.0% in 2020).
