Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2010, Netherlands's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 5.9% compared to 2009, reaching 9.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.3%.

Netherlands ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 52.5% (from 6.3% in 2005).
