Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2022, Romania's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 2.5% compared to 2021, reaching 43.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 41.2%.

Romania ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.2% (from 42.0% in 2017).
