Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2021, Romania's main indicators decreased by 2.5% compared to 2020, reaching 23.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.9%.

Romania ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 4.6% (from 25.0% in 2016).
