Persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex

In 2024, Croatia's persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex increased by 4.8% compared to 2023, reaching 21.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.0%.

Croatia ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.3% (from 20.8% in 2019).
