Persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex

In 2024, Greece's persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex increased by 3.1% compared to 2023, reaching 26.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.0%.

Greece ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 7.2% (from 29.0% in 2019).
