In 2017, Cyprus's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 14.6% compared to 2016, reaching 1,470.

Cyprus ranks 23rd out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 51.0% (from 3,000 in 2012).
