Persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex

In 2025, Denmark's persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex decreased by 0.6% compared to 2024, reaching 17.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 20.9%.

Denmark ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.5% (from 16.8% in 2020).
