Persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex

In 2024, Finland's persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex increased by 6.3% compared to 2023, reaching 16.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.0%.

Finland ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 15.9% (from 14.5% in 2019).
