Persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex

In 2025, Finland's persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex increased by 2.4% compared to 2024, reaching 17.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 20.9%.

Finland ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 15.4% (from 14.9% in 2020).
