Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Finland's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 2.6% compared to 2023, reaching 52.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 25.2%.

Finland ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 21.8% (from 42.8% in 2019).
