Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Portugal's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 3.3% compared to 2023, reaching 36.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 25.2%.

Portugal ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 18.6% (from 30.6% in 2019).
