Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Sweden's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 5.3% compared to 2023, reaching 62.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 25.2%.

Sweden ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.7% (from 55.8% in 2019).
