Population structure indicators at national level

In 2016, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level increased by 2.3% compared to 2015, reaching 22.3.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 32.2.

Ireland ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 18.0% (from 18.9 in 2011).
