Population structure indicators at national level

In 2009, Romania's population structure indicators at national level increased by 3.2% compared to 2008, reaching 25.8.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 28.4.

Romania ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 10.7% (from 23.3 in 2004).
