Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2021, Spain's main indicators decreased by 3.1% compared to 2020, reaching 20.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.9%.

Spain ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 20.8% (from 17.0% in 2016).
