Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Cyprus's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 3.1% compared to 2023, reaching 20.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 25.2%.

Cyprus ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 51.3% (from 13.8% in 2019).
