Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Denmark's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.9% compared to 2023, reaching 79.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 47.5%.

Denmark ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 21.9% (from 65.3% in 2019).
