Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Sweden's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.7% compared to 2023, reaching 88.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 47.5%.

Sweden ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 23.7% (from 71.2% in 2019).
