Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2024, Ireland's main indicators increased by 5.4% compared to 2023, reaching 16.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 25.2%.

Ireland ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 34.1% (from 12.0% in 2019).
