Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Netherlands's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 8.9% compared to 2023, reaching 50.5%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 47.5%.

Netherlands ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 177.3% (from 18.2% in 2019).
