Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Malta's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 0.7% compared to 2023, reaching 10.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 47.5%.

Malta ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 42.4% (from 7.5% in 2019).
